True friendship never breaks

Once there were two little creatures, a cat and a rat, who lived together in a small house. One day while the rat was out looking for food, the cat met with some hungry men. "I'll show you to my house," he said. "That cat has some lovely cheese in his pantry." Before the rat came home, the men had eaten all of the cheese in the pantry and curled up to take a nap. When the rat opened his door and saw what had happened, he started to shake with rage. But before he could do anything, he heard his friend's voice asking him to come in for supper. "Five minutes," he said. "I won't keep you up late." He went straight away to get something for supper, but when they sat down at the table together it turned out that he had no food at all - not one single crumb! The cat looked at the rat and ignored him and started helping humans. Looking at this rat feel sad as they used to be together and help to get food and enjoy being with e...

The Influence of Mahatma Gandhi in my life

Ever since my birth, I’ve been listening to and reading Mahatma Gandhi, the ‘Father of the Nation’ but noting his importance in my life is something new for me. Starting from the incident of being thrown out of the Train in Durban, South Africa, which later led to the Passive Resistance Struggle. This was the first scene where I came to know about him and it caught my eyes ever since then. Being an outsider, he understood the problems faced by his fellow countrymen and used all of his wits to benefit the needy, which of course, was in the most peaceful way. A man with so much patience and tolerance deserves the greatest appreciation. An inspirational story of his influence that I recall was his eternal love and care for the environment. A teacher from California, USA chained herself to preserve a 400 years old Oak tree that was about to be removed by the developers, but upon the resistance from the lady, hundreds of people stormed and successfu...

CITIZEN JOURNALISM

Journalism that is conducted by people who are not professional journalists but who disseminate information using Web sites, blogs, and social media. Citizen journalism has expanded its worldwide influence despite continuing concerns over whether citizen journalists are as reliable as trained professionals. Citizens in disaster zones have provided instant text and visual reporting from the scene. People in countries affected by political upheaval and often in countries where print and broadcast media are controlled by the government have used a variety of technological tools to share information about hot spots. Swirling in the background of these developments was a debate over whether the term citizen journalism was itself accurate. MAJOR CHALLENGES BEFORE CITIZEN JOURNALISM 1. Ethical challenge-Of course, there are vast amounts of garbage out there but it tends not to be so influential as the genuine stuff. There have been far more durable myths, mistakes, and untruths promulgated by...

Sex Education

Introduction A social agenda is a policy that tries to change a society or government's way of thinking through education. Different ones include feminism, environmentalism, and socialism. The main goal of the sex education agenda is to make people more aware of their sexual behaviors, in hopes of lowering rates of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies. In the US (and many other countries), school districts are increasingly trying to teach kids about sex both before they have sex and after they do; this includes teaching them about consent, pornography, healthy relationships, and more. Sex education classes can also be used as a tool for social change with things like LGBTQ schools or rape crisis centers. We will also look at the benefits and problems of effective sex education. Every day, millions of children are exposed to pornography. One out of four teenage girls has been sexually assaulted before the age of 18. And one in six men is a pedophile. It's...
